a little more... DreamRoot
I've been looking through old Dropbox folders and finding lots of DreamRoot art. Since I don't have a special page dedicated to that anymore, I'm making more blog entries about them! 🎉 When I started with DR, the logo was a tree. I pointed out how *every* logo was a tree. And would, in my troll like nature, point out all the tree logos on signs and billboards when we'd drive to lunch together. ( #sorrynotsorry ) So, for a bit I made a logo with Dr. Oot. He's like a tree, but
DreamRoot
On the last incarnation of this website, I had a page dedicated to DreamRoot Games. But, I can't be a part of DR anymore, due to my job. I worked on some fun stuff, though! Like some drunken fish animation, luchador costume art and paper puppets wearing underwear (see previous post!). Here's a playthrough of a once-upon-a-time in-development game called "Chimichango Con Carnage". All the art (other than that clear programmer art health bar, score UI) was made by me. Skulls, s

Scare for a Cure
This was my second year to volunteer with Scare for a Cure, and while I didn't get to do as much this year (in California for work too much!), I did what MAY be the coolest thing I've done for them! I worked with April on these cool podium books displayed throughout the haunted house. April did the typed left-side pages and I did the scripted right-side pages. The text was supplied to us, and we had fairly free range on what to do, visually. AND THEY LOOKED SOOOOOOO COOL! I t

So what's up with that walking puppet dude?
This is Marshall. You know, I don't actually remember if his name was Marshall or he was a marshal at this point... But, once upon a time I was part of a little indie game company called DreamRoot. We were working on a zombie game and I (as the only artist) had the crazy idea to make the characters out of paper. So, this is an actual paper puppet I made. Notice the little knots of thread at all his joints? Marshall was one of the heroes of the game and I only made him in his
the new place
I've been wanting to redesign my website for a while, and sometimes would slowly come poke around with that idea. But now it's so close to being done! It's coming together with a pretty decent one page summary that maybe branches off to more detail; the galleries and "see more" set up is in place. But the real challenge is to make this blog AND start on the oft-talked-about-but-never-actuall-made web comic! Riiiight? Yep. Now that I'm building it a place to live, I have a bet
